- How is Living Memorial soil blend different from potting soil or regular soil?
-
Living Memorial soil blend has been specifically formulated to reduce the high pH of cremated ashes as well as neutralising the sodium salts. It also contains specific bacteria that break down the ashes to release the beneficial nutrients for use by plants.
Most potting composts and soils have a neutral pH and are not able to alter the pH found in cremated ashes to allow for the release of the nutrients. They will also not neutralise the sodium by themselves and cannot break down the ashes effectively. - Can I use Living Memorial for scattering ashes?

They can be especially damaging when scattered in large quantities in areas of natural beauty that might be especially popular sites for people to visit.
